The Craft Show will take place on December 4 and 5, 2015, and will coincide with the City of Wilmington's first Friday Art on the Town Art Loop. On Friday night of the event, we will be partnering with Barry's Events for "Taste of the Holidays," a wine, beer, and spirit tasting. Saturday will be great day for families, with free movies and a craft activity for kids so parents are free to shop the artists' booths.

Admission to both events will be FREE. Last year's event attracted more than 750 guests, and we hope to draw an even larger crowd this year!

  • Dates: Friday, Dec. 4, 5-10 pm, Saturday, Dec. 5, 10 am-4 pm.
  • Nonrefundable application Fee: $10.
  • Booth Fee: $125 (includes $10 application fee) for one or both days.
  • Application Deadline: Tuesday, September 8.

*Priority will be given to artists who choose to exhibit on both Friday and Saturday.*

If you have questions about the event or application, please contact DCCA Director of Retail and Membership, Terry Foreman.

Contemporary Connections

Contemporary Connections is a school-based program in which DCCA pairs a professional artist with a classroom teacher. This team, together with a DCCA representative, designs a curriculum in which the arts are integrated into core curriculum subjects. The main goal of Contemporary Connections is for students to understand the intellectual and cultural heritage of the arts and to see how this relates to contemporary society, their studies, and their lives. This program also develops teachers’ skills that enable them to use arts integration as a powerful teaching tool in core curriculum subjects is also a key aspect of the program. Applications are accepted on a year-round basis. For more information, please contact Sarah Ware. If you are an artist and interested in participating in this program, please send work samples along with a resume that indicates teaching experience to:

Alternatives Store

Do you, or someone you know, create fantastic hand-crafted items that would be a nice addition to the DCCA's Alternatives Store? Alternatives is always looking for unique, handcrafted, artist-made items for our award-winning shop.

Artists interested in submitting handcrafted work for consignment opportunities in DCCA's Alternatives Store should contact Director of Retail and Memberhip Terry Foreman with 3-4 images of work, suggested price range, artist biography, and artist statement. Please include a link to any websites or online stores your work is being featured on as well.
