We suggest you check out PHLocal.com, a new visual art calendar, artist registry, and artist opportunity site. PHLocal is now listing our exhibits, artist opportunities and most of our events on it, as well as many other regional institutions and galleries in the Philadelphia area. Get noticed!   

  
Artists are encouraged to create a free profile on PHLocal via its parent site EventsFilter.com. Your profile will be linked to your events and exhibits, it will track your event history, and be always be listed by the area where you work. ARTISTS' SUBMISSIONS AND EXHIBITION OPPORTUNITIES AT THE DCCA

For artist members, there are two opportunities each year for their works to be considered: the annual members’ juried group exhibition and the open call for individual artist members’ solo and group exhibitions. The DCCA has artist members from across the United States. To join the DCCA, please click here. The selected works for the annual members’ juried exhibition are juried by an invited outside juror. Past jurors have included, among others, Eleanor Heartney, Kristin Hileman, Ann Landi, Richard Torchia, Darci Alexander, and Roberta Fallon. The members’ open call exhibition opportunity is determined by an annually changing panel of artist members who have had exhibitions at the DCCA, artist board members, the DCCA director, and the curatorial staff. Out of this process artists are chosen for one-person and thematic group exhibitions at the DCCA. 
 
The Delaware Center for the Contemporary Arts also accepts unsolicited portfolio material or exhibition proposals by non-members on a rolling basis throughout the year. Submissions are reviewed and artists whose works might be considered for exhibition opportunities will be contacted. CDs with jpeg images, DVDs, photographic reproductions, artist statements, résumés, and exhibition catalogues or announcements are welcome. Please do not send slides, videotapes, or original artwork. Due to the volume of submissions, we do not acknowledge receipt of, or return, materials.  
 
Guidelines for all applications: The DCCA looks for artwork created within the last 4 years. The DCCA does not mount retrospective exhibitions. The DCCA does not give one-person exhibitions to artists who already have had one-person exhibitions at the DCCA within the last four years. The DCCA does not exhibit work that was already shown at the DCCA in a previous group or one-person show. The DCCA is highly focused on varieties of artistic vision and experimentation and presents work by emerging, mid-career, and established artists.
