Don’t just play with your food - make art out of it! Inspired by the DCCA exhibition Contraption students will work with a DCCA Teaching Artist over four weeks to make incredible creations inspired by edible materials!

Build It: Three-Dimensional Exploration
(Ages 8 - 11)

Tired of paper and pencils? So are we! Join the DCCA as we explore alternative art materials traditionally used for construction and industry in this unique sculpture class. Work with a DCCA Teaching Artist to build a work of art like no other!

Teen Programs
Urban Jungle (Ages 12 - 18)
Saturday, April 28, 1:30 – 4:30 pm

Artists are constantly inspired by the world around them. Work with a DCCA Teaching Artist to create artwork inspired by urban planning, architecture, and public art in this unique workshop.
Future Teaching Artist (FTA) Program
Program Dates: July 9 – August 3
Application Deadline: May 25
Interested in a career in the arts? Love kids? Let us help you learn about different careers in art education and museums this summer through our Future Teaching Artists (FTA) program. We’re seeking responsible, eager, and creative teen volunteers ages 16 to 18 to assist in our Summer Arts Camps, shadow museum jobs, and gain valuable career experience. The FTA program is also a great way add valuable community service experience to your national junior honor society, resume, and college applications. Fee: $100.00 (due upon acceptance to program)
Summer Pre-College Art Studio
Program Dates: July 16 – 20
Spend a week immersed in a pre-college art experience with the DCCA, Delaware Art Museum, and Delaware College of Art and Design. This is an intensive, one-week program designed to help prepare high school students for college admission in the field of art and design.
