February 10
The DCCA will host a screening of the Art 21 episode Loss & Desire followed by a docent led walkthrough of installation related to Love Contemporary, a theme that links several exhibitions on view.

February 17
Love and Desire in Contemporary Art: Curator of Special Projects, J. Susan Isaacs, will give a talk on the theme of sexual and sensual longing in contemporary art, with special attention to the Christopher Ho time-based media work, Lesbian Mountains in Love.

February 24
Philadelphia artist Pamela B. Chapman discusses her paintings in conjunction with the lobby installation of her series, Dictionary X (Love Suite).

March 3
Lee Arnold will discuss his exhibition of videos Time – Image, animations that are “sequential images of pure color, gradual shifts in light, and collages of fragmented photographs.”

March 10
Gabriela Bulislova will discuss her exhibition The Option of Last Resort: Iraqi Refugees in the United States.

March 17
John Caperton, Curator of Prints and Photographs at the Print Center in Philadelphia, discusses organizing shows of contemporary prints and photographs.

March 24
Troy Richards, Assistant Professor and Head of Printmaking at University of Delaware will offer a critical perspective related to the use of color in SPECTRUM: Contemporary Color Abstraction.

March 31
Philadelphia artist Bill Scott discusses his work in the exhibition SPECTRUM: Contemporary Color Abstraction.

April 7
Wilmington artist Michael Kalmbach discusses color and how it generates meaning in his paintings featured in SPECTRUM: Contemporary Color Abstraction.

April 14
Resident artist Carlos Ferguson discusses the role of storytelling in his collaborative project Tiny Circus, as well as his current project with the DCCA Art & Community Visual Arts Residency program.

April 21
A “to be announced” artist will discuss his/her work in the 2010 Members’ Juried Exhibition, New juried by Philadelphia artist and critic Roberta Fallon.

April 28
Baltimore artist Lawrence Cromwell discusses his mixed-media installation, Make It Bigger.
